OP OP OP OP OP OP

i dare not look at the practice video of myself, its because i know that i screwed up big time :( i've done presentations SOOO many times, even presenting OP in front of the whole JC1 junior cohort (plus Q&A) and i've done well the whole time :( kind of disappointed that i cant even do a decent presentation this round :(

BUT its ok :) i'll do my best for tuesday's presentation :) now, what should i wear?

*wow, sem1 is ending already*

1st draft of SUJA status: submitted!

haiz.. i've just submitted the 1st draft of suja onto turn it in.. its 'under-word' and ' unoriginal'? haha. although its still 'processing', the originality is only 6%! OMG 6% only?! does the 6% mean im only 6% similar to other sources, im only 6% original ? :(

never mind! i've learnt my lesson. aim: to produce a more original suja and as well as a 3000+ word suja! ( i think its only 2000+ words now, i cant find and content/ points of contention to write :( ) another point i've realised is that although there are tonnes of sources available, its ALL repeative to a certain extent or largely irrevelant ( since many are concerned with the economic cost of CCS).

argh! jiayous! fighting!

midterms!

its the week(s) for midterms! but oh no, i havent been studying much :( been ill for the WHOLE recess week.. its sunday night and i feel that i might suffocate any moment with a dry throat and blocked FACE (its not even a blocked nose, since my brain became blocked too).

tomorrow i'll be having cm1401 midterm (thank goodness its 25mcqs and 5 short questions, i dont think i'll be able to write much).

TUESDAY IS SP1202 TEST! hopefully my brain wont be clogged by then, and i wont be coughing until i distract the whole class..

thankfully i only have 3 midterms (i hope im right), with my bsp1005b being held next week (mcqs only! woots!)

and its SUJA 1st draft submission week, and i hope i submit something decent since im coughing quite badly (not coughing blood YET). now, where is this 'TurnItIn' and how do i use it? hmm.. deadline is 29th wednesday 12noon! :)

all the best to all NUS people! :D

another random bit for sp1202

in case your wondering why, this korean video has been embedded here, its because it has something to do with our sp1202. the music video has been released a few days ago by korean idol group 2NE1 :D by the way, the name is 'Pak Su Jyeo' which means Clap Your Hands. sounds like 'Pass SUJA' right? XDXDXD

anyways, i'll be handing in a hardcopy of my suja outline tomorrow during the conference, since i only reached home and saw Dr Jessie's email at about 550pm and (deadline was 6pm zomg). sorry! thankyou for your kind understanding! :D

yaya you papaya.

haha, i know the title is kind of random, but its been ringing in my head the past few days. yeah, 'yaya you payaya' XD.

AH OHMYGOODNESS. this thursday, 10am, email Dr Jessie your SUJA introductions! zomg. of all days, thursday. ( In case you're wondering, im not complaining, i'm just 'appalled' at this sudden news XD). although my driving test is on thursday, i hope i wont be TOO distracted by this deadline. chemistry lab report is due on thursday (12pm) too. ahhhh thursday~

ah! im still wondering if i should stick to the topic on carbon capture, since there are SOOOOO many more interesting things to explore. ah, decisions can really be a chore at times. :(

reminder to self (and maybe liling): 1230, conferencing for sp1202~

*in case you've noticed, which i highly doubt :p, i've made slight changes to the blogskin! its because i was blogsurfing other sp1202 blogs the other day, and i happened to chance upon this sp1202 blog owned by my friend's friend, who is indirectly my friend since we know each other through my friend (and she calls me 'ice-cream girl'. yes, you, minli!) AND SHE HAS THE SAME BLOGSKIN AS ME ZOMG. haha..

i have the habit of owning things with a unique design/ less common. think of it this way, its like clashing of the same design of clothes with some random person on the road. it happened to me before, plus it was an slightly older saleswomen who wore the same shirt ( like omg, clashing clothes with a salesperson!? apparently the salesperson was wearing the latest design as well (it was a BUM equipment shirt), since i only bought not too long before that happened.) i've been scarred since, and i hardly buy things from departmental stores nowadays, preferring to buy online from other countries or from blogshops which have relatively more 'uncommon' designs.*

YEAH :D FINALLY :D.

dear wanyu and melanie, please help us review :D, lots of love from liling and huixin :)

"In recent years, the consumption of organic foods has increased as these foods gain popularity among consumers. With the consumers being more educated, they are more likely to make dietary choices which appear healthier, such as consuming organic foods. Organic foods are defined as crops or livestock that are grown without the aid of chemicals such as pesticides or herbicides. Hence, it is believed that consuming them would be healthier since they contain fewer chemicals which may be harmful to human health. However, scientific proof is lacking to show that consuming organic food is indeed beneficial to our health. Furthermore, there have been concerns that more deadly strains of bacteria may be present in these organic foods, possibly causing serious or fatal illnesses for the consumers. As such, doubts have arisen as to whether organic foods are actually safe to consume."

hehe,i like big fonts.

oh no! peer review! ( dear wanyu and melanie, sorry for the delay~ we will review your introduction soon. ours will be up soon :) )

@ Dr Jessie: regarding the comment that you have made on my previous post, i would answer it here so that it will be more obvious for everyone to see (no need to search for the reply! :D)

if memory serves me right, i first read about the technology of carbon capture and storage (CSS) on one of those 'informative and educational' magazines back in secondary school OR junior college days. since i had a habit of reading reader's' digest, times and newsweek magazines for a long time, i can't remember exactly when and where i read about it. (hence the trouble and difficulty of locating the articles amongst the stacks of magazines at home. imagine 5 years worth of magazines to scour through. -.-)

i'm personally interested in the protection and conservation of the environment as part of my future career, so i thought a topic such as CSS would be a good head-start for me to learn more about environment conservation, especially when global warming is currently the hot issue now (no pun intended XD).

alright, back to work! draft for introduction to be up soon! :D

1st post.

yeah! this is my first post for module sp1202! :D im not a stranger to blogging, with my personal blog full of raving about my favourite korean pop idol groups. i've also came up with blogs for my social studies project and chinese projects (yes, i typed in chinese, oh my god right...) before back in secondary school. which made me think that blogging wasnt the 'in' thing during my jc times.

since there must be some form of indication that the blog is academic-related, i shall try my best to type in proper english, with no short forms for words. HOWEVER, i might not capitalise the first alphabet of every letter after the fullstop. and i'll be using random emoticons as well, who likes reading only a bunch of words? XD

by the way, the blog address is something i thought of after countless rejections of other blog address.. so my 'one of my challenges' during sp1202 module: thinking of a blog address. :D

so by tuesday's tutorial, we're required to present a topic for SUJA. im thinking of doing something on carbon capture, but the information doesnt seem to be sufficient as of yet, as this area is still relatively new. so i'll see how it goes first then.
